A large delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases participated in the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Modern ophthalmology: the integration of science and practice".
A large delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, headed by the Director, a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences RB, doctor of Sciences, Professor M. M. Bikbov took part in the scientific-practical conference with international participation "Modern ophthalmology: the integration of science and practice". The conference was held 12-13 October 2018 in the southern capital of Kazakhstan - Almaty and was devoted to the 85th anniversary of the Kazakh research Institute of eye diseases.
For the first time in the framework of the scientific-practical conference of ophthalmologists was presented to the scientific session of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases. The session was opened by the Director of the Institute, Professor M. M. Bikbov, presenting a report on "pterygium Surgery using a femtosecond laser". He reported the first in Russia experience of application of the original transactions using the femtosecond laser, have focused on the special importance and the importance of early treatment, on the factors determining the progression of the disease.
In the report of the leading researcher of the Department of surgery of the cornea and lens UV NII GB PhD Usubov E. L. on the theme "Keratoplasty surgery for keratoconus and other corneal diseases" was presented your experience in performing these operations, the video clips which demonstrated the skill of the surgeon. The report of the head of the laboratory of lens surgery and intraocular correction, Ph. D. O. I. Orenburkina "Multifocal and trifocal IOL in femtolazer-assisted cataract surgery" was dedicated to the experience of implantation in the UV NII GB modern lenses during cataract surgery using different femtosecond lasers. I head of microsurgery Department of the Institute PhD khusnitdinov of I. I. presented a report on "Drainage surgery of glaucoma," which summarized the results of implantation of various types of drains in patients with glaucoma.
Modern technologies of treatment of diseases of the eye used by ophthalmologists of Ufa, aroused great interest among the Kazakh colleagues, as evidenced by the questions andlive discussion. Summing up the session, Professor Bikbov M. M. noted that the staff of the UF Institute of GB reports are part of a large research Institute. Importantly, said Professor Bikbov M. M., the presentation and discussions on key issues in surgery of keratoconus and other corneal diseases, retinal detachment, cataract surgery and glaucoma has identified a number of issues that merit discussion in future conferences.
Special understanding and interest was aroused by the report of the Deputy chief physician of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases on the legal issues Abdrakhmanova E. S. on "the Relevance of legal protection of the interests of the doctor and medical activities."
The conference also hosted a session of the Turkish society of ophthalmology. In June this year, leading ophthalmologists of Turkey
participated in the International conference "East-West-2018" which took place in Ufa. After reviewing the scientific works of employees of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, the Turkish colleagues have included in its scientific program at the conference in Kazakhstan, the report of the ophthalmologist of the IV microsurgical Department of the Institute of T. A. Khalimova on the treatment of retinal detachment. The report in two languages, English and Russian, was awarded as the best and awarded a commemorative gift from the Turkish society of ophthalmology.
The conference was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
