The delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, composed of the Deputy Director for scientific and production work, d.b.N. Shevchuk N. E. and head of the adult outpatient Department, PhD of Klyavlino R. R., took part in the work 72 of the annual conference of all India society of ophthalmology. The conference was held on 6-9 February 2014 in Jaypee Palace Hotel & Convention Center in Agra (India).

In the conference participated more than 6 thousand delegates from India as well as foreign guests from USA, Egypt, Russia and other countries. At the opening of the conference Chairman – Dr. Singh welcomed the delegates and noted that the implementation in India in recent years, the National programme of control of blindness and the surgical treatment of cataract has contributed to the decline in the number of blind due to this disease by more than 20%.

The meetings were held simultaneously in 10 halls. Within 4 days, we discussed a variety of issues of ophthalmology: the treatment of corneal pathology, posterior eye, glaucoma, cataracts, refractive surgery, etc. Along with lectures by leading ophthalmologists, were held satellite symposia, video session and a session for young scientists. Presented at the conference on the assessment of possibilities of new technologies and clinical experience of the ophthalmologists aroused great interest and lively discussion. During all working days of the training centre for the training of ophthalmic surgeons (WetLab).

Within the conference the exhibition of ophthalmic equipment and instruments, scientific literature.

The opportunity to participate in such a large conference with a discussion and exchange of experience and visit one of the wonders of the world – Taj Mahal and attractions such as the Agra Fort and "Dead city" (Fatehpur Sikri) lefta memorable stay in India.
