Online meeting of TROS members
On January 17 another online meeting was held with members of the Turkish Republics Ophthalmology Society. This is the second such event in a virtual format with colleagues from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
8 reports were presented on complex cases of vitreoretinal surgery. Ophthalmologists presented non-standard clinical cases with disputable diagnosis and at the end of the report the participants of the meeting discussed the correctness of the final diagnosis and the determination of rational treatment strategy.
The leading ophthalmic surgeon of our institute Dr. Emin Usubov presented a report on "Surgical approaches to the treatment of macular holes".
The uniqueness of these events is that the participants make presentations in 3 different languages – Russian, Turkish and English. The presentations of the speakers are prepared in English.
This format of communication is interesting and useful for listeners as each of them can take part in the discussion and ask questions.
