The representatives of the Ufa Eye Research Institute took part in the 77th annual All-Indian Ophthalmological Society Conference

The representatives of the Ufa Eye Research Institute Valyamov R. L. and Halimov A. R. in the deligation of the Russian ophthalmologists took part in the 77th annual All-Indian Ophthalmological Society Conference that was held in the city of Indore (India) in February 14-17. The large-scale forum was attended by about 6,000 delegates from around the world.

The reports presented at the scientific sessions of the Сonference were devoted to the main sections of ophthalmology: cataract surgery, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, pharmacotherapy of vitreoretinal pathology and infectious inflammatory eye diseases particularities. In addition, much attention was paid to the study of genetic aspects of a number of eye diseases.

   

The exhibition, which housed more than 150 pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment manufacturers, was presented by all the world's famous ophthalmological brands. "Appasamy" company's products (India) aroused great interest of participants.

             


On the last day of the Conference the Russian delegation and ophthalmologists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan visited "Appasamy" factories (Chennai, Pondicherry) which produce medical ophthalmic equipment, medical products, including intraocular lenses.   The equipment of plants allows to carry out a full production cycle of production of the numerous samples of modern medical equipment and ophthalmology products.

There was a cultural program arranged for the delegates: a visit to the historical sites of UNESCO world heritage – the Taj Mahal temple complex, the Agra fortress, the Kutab Minar minaret.
