The delegation of the Institute participated in the thirteenth jubilee of the ophthalmological conference "REFRACTION-2018"
The delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases composed of a Director, Professor M. M. Bikbov:, ophthalmologist of the IV microsurgical Department Halimova T. A. and research assistant in the Department of surgery of the cornea and lens Astrelina M. N., took part in the XIII anniversary ophthalmic conference "REFRACTION – 2018". The conference was held on November 23, 2018 in Samara and was dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Samara regional clinical ophthalmologic hospital. T. I. Eroshevsky and the 25th anniversary of the Center for vision correction "OCTOPUS".
The conference was attended by ophthalmologists from various cities of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Samara, Kazan, Voronezh, etc.).
The conference covered different areas of ophthalmology, including diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye, optometry, organizational and legal issues in the activities of ophthalmologists. Attracted the interest of "live surgery" in which it was demonstrated the use of modern equipment and intraocular lenses. There was an exhibition of ophthalmic instruments and pharmaceutical products.
At the plenary meeting, the Director of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, Professor Bikbov M. M. has acted with the report "Femtojoule anterior segment of the eye".
Institute staff also gave presentations:
- Khalimov A. T. "Surgical treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with peeling of the internal limiting membrane using 25G of technology"
- Astelin M. N. "Fundamental aspects of UV-crosslinking".
