The delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases composed of a Director of GBU "Urrie an RB GB", MD, Professor Bikbov: M. M., doctor I microsurgery Department, MD Bikbulatova A. A., head of the Department of vitreoretinal and laser surgery, PhD fayzrahmanova R. R. and a research associate in the Department of surgery of the cornea and lens Zainullina N. B. participated in the annual XXXI Congress of the European society of cataract and refractive surgeons (ESCRS), which was held from 5 to 9 October 2013 in the exhibition center "Amsterdam RAI" in Amsterdam (the Netherlands). The ESCRS Congress is the leading event in Europe where they presented advanced developments on the treatment of cataract and pathology of refraction.
Byli presentations on various topics, discussed new technologies in cataract surgery, reported the results of implantation of various IOL designs. The actual problems of refractive surgery - myopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, problems keratoplasty. We analyzed the results of surgical treatment and corneal collagen crosslinking in keratoconus. Congress of the ESCRS also included a session of youngophthalmologists, 2 sessions of interactive posters and video symposia.
