Award THE 2013 KREISSIG AWARD is given for outstanding contribution to the pathogenesis and treatment of retinal diseases.
This year the award was presented during the work of the 13th EURETINA Congress, 26 - 29 September 2013 (Hamburg, Germany). In connection with this event was released a newsletter, which presents the biography and scientific achievements of Professor Ingrid Kreissig. In an interview I. Kreysig one of the most significant events in his life noted by awarding her the title of "Honorary Professor of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases".
The award is named after Professor Ingrid Kreissig was established in 2003 for ophthalmologists in Western and Eastern Europe and Asia for active participation in a course on surgery of the retina and vitreous, eye research in diabetes and AMD, which it more than 30 years led in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.
