Scientific-practical conference on ophthalmosurgery with international participation, Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan
June 6-7 in National youth theatre of Republic Bashkortostan there has passed scientifically-practical conference on ophthalmic surgery "East-West 2013". Conference organizer: Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences RB. This forum is held for the fifth time, with the active participation of the Academy of Sciences RB, the Ministry of health of Belarus, of the society of ophthalmologists of Russia, Interregional public organization "Association of ophthalmologists", Association of Directors of ophthalmologic clinics of Russia, the Russian glaucoma society.
The conference was attended by over 700 delegates from different cities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Moldova, India, Germany, and Switzerland. The delegation led by head of the Department of ophthalmology and research vision of the University of Chiba (Japan) Shuichi Yamamoto has become the most representative at the conference.

In the opening ceremony of the conference took part: chief ophthalmologist of the Ministry of health of Belarus, Director of GBU "Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus", Professor Mukharram Bikbov Muharemovic; Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Professor rayhana Valiullova Kunakova; first Deputy Minister of health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, honored doctor of Belarus Alexander Afanasiev; Professor Shuichi Yamamoto (Japan); Professor Mathias Grieshaber (Switzerland).
The conference was opened by the Director of GBU "Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus", Professor M. M. Kunakova, read a greeting address from the head of the presidential administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan Vladimir Alexandrovich Balabanov. I, as representative of health care practice, was very impressed by the even and the intersection of science and practice. Those workshops, those schools that are in this forum, not impress our experts. Lecture session of the Department of ophthalmology of Chiba University (Japan) was devoted to neuroprotection. The speakers presented fundamental research of great importance in practical medicine. Vice-Director of Chiba University hospital, Professor Shuichi Yamamoto presented clinicalthe study of neuroprotective eye drops with retinitis pigmentosa. Professor Toshiyuki Oshitari made a report "Neuroprotection and regeneration of retinal neurons". In the Japanese delegation was attended by PhD G. M. Bikbov: (Guzel Maharramova is studying in Chiba University, in 2011 received a grant from the government of Japan, which provides full tuition, accommodation and stipend), she presented a report on "the Death of narocito and regeneration in the retina of rats exposed to AGEs". Dr. Madoka Sakurai and Professor Takayuki Baba spoke of neuroprotection in treatment of AMD and vitreoretinal surgery. Modern approaches in the study of neuroprotection, technically correct execution of the study determine the adequate tactics of treatment in the future.
Section "Diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma" was presented 11 reports. About the need for a differentiated approach to the choice of treatment tactics and method of surgery angle-closure glaucoma complicated pseudoexfoliative syndrome, said Professor E. V. Egorova (fgbu "IRTC "eye microsurgery" them. Acad. S. N. Fedorov", Moscow). Professor M. Pavlova") presented the results of a study of the pulse blood in the cerebral vessels and vessels of the eye the control age groups (50-59 years, 70-79 years, 80-89 years) without signs of glaucoma and patients with POAG depending on the age and dynamics of glaucoma process. M. Grishaber made a report"Surgery sclera sinus channel analgesical". Professor A.V. Kuroyedov presented the results of a multicenter study carried out in clinics of Russia, noting the main characteristics of the progression of glaucoma, and also reported about the nuances of therapy of severe forms of glaucoma.
The teleconference linked the participants of the conference in Ufa with colleagues from Chennai (India). Professor S. Krishnakumar presented the results of innovative research into the use of stem cells in ophthalmology. Petermay Dr. Biswas delivered a lecture in which an attempt was made to determine the causes of uveitis, and to understand the clinical cases in patients with this disease.

Section "Treatment of diseases of the retina and optic nerve" attracted a lot of listeners. About the effect of the drug "Rocephin" on the cells of the retinal tissue in organotypic culture reported to the Professor, khokkanen V. M. ("North-Western state medical University n. a. I. I. O. M. Babalova ("South Ural state medical University, Chelyabinsk) in the message "Dynamic change of personality in the development of the medical profession" on the example of medical students showed that the development of the medical profession appears the syndrome of "emotional burnout" of varying severity. A high degree emotional burnout is determined every second student 6th year — 16 (53%). The average degree of "burnout" was detected in 14 (46%) students of 1st year and in 13 (43%) of ophthalmologists. The presence of the syndrome "emotional burnout" high degree of medical students and practitioners dictates the necessity of psychological support to this category of people.
