Заседание круглого стола.JPGOn 20 November in Chelyabinsk held a meeting of the working group of experts on the treatment of occlusive venous diseases of the retina, the experience and prospects of application of the intravitreal implant of dexamethasone in the treatment of this pathology.

In the round table was attended by colleagues from Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. From the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases in this event participated the chief physician PhD Marvanova zulaikha R. and a PhD Gil'manshin I Timur Risovic. Under the chairmanship of Prof. Panova I. E. (Chelyabinsk, Russia) discussed the issues concerning approaches to the treatment of thrombosis of the retinal veins - pathology, occupying one of leading places in the structure of retinal pathology. M. D., Professor Drozdova E. A. (Chelyabinsk) reported on the current mechanisms of the pathogenesis of post-thrombotic macular edema, and corticosteroids in its treatment. Report M. D. Budzinski M. V. (Moscow) was devoted to the standards of diagnostics and treatment of retinal vein occlusion and post-thrombotic macular edema. The staff of our Institute shared the experience of intravitreal pharmacotherapy for thrombosis of the retinal veins. Specialists from Moscow, presented a report on the economic aspects of the feasibility of application of the intravitreal implant of dexamethasone.

The round table was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. All participants agreed that occlusive pathology of the retinal veins is a serious problem still far from being resolved. Approaches to the treatment of this pathology are reviewed, and the need for close international cooperation of ophthalmologists and specialists in other areas for the successful decision of tasks in view.
