24 November 2017 Ufa research Institute of eye diseases held a scientific-practical conference "Modern technologies of treatment of diseases of the eye". The conference program was registered by the coordination Council for development of continuous medical education of medical workers and received approval. The educational event was aimed to familiarize ophthalmologists with the Republic at the modern stage of very rapid development of technologies of diagnostics and treatment of socially significant diseases of the retina and vitreous.
The conference was attended by more than 200 ophthalmologists from Ufa and a variety of towns and regions RB. During the conference, the experts were familiarized with the aspects of etiopathogenesis, clinical symptoms and most advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment of serious retinal diseases like age-related macular degeneration, venous thrombosis, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, retinal detachment, vitreomacular traction syndrome.
The session on new technologies in diagnostics and treatment of pathology in the macular region, were heard the lectures of doctor. med. Sciences fayzrahmanova R. R. (Ufa) on the topic: "New technologies in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration", PhD. med. Sciences Gilmanshin T. R. (Ufa) – "retinal veins Thrombosis. Current diagnosis and treatment", PhD. med. Sciences Kalentieva Z. A. (Ufa) - "Surgical treatment of vitreomacular traction syndrome".
At the session dedicated to the defeat of the organ of vision in diabetes and modern approaches in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, a lecture on the topic: "Prospects for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular manifestations of diabetes" presented doctor. med. Sciences [V. N., head. otd.The Ekaterinburg Center of IRTC "eye Microsurgery" named after S. N. Fedorov. There was also the lecture of the scientific staff of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases - zaynullin, R. M. on the theme: "Diabetic macular edema. The possibility of vitreoretinal technologies" and Calanova M. R. - "Modern approaches to surgical treatment of proliferative diabetic retinopathy".
Session "Modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the vitreous and retina" began its work by conducting a Master-class doctor. med. Sciences by Faizrakhmanova R. R., which showed videos of operations with comments and explanations chosen surgeon tactics in unusual cases of vitreoretinal interventions. Further provided lectures candidate. med. Sciences Akhtyamov K. N. - "Evolution of vitreoretinal technologies in the treatment of detachment of the retina", doctor of higher qualification category Salamov R. L. - "Laser technologies in treatment of retinal pathology" and the doctor-the ophthalmologist. A. S. - "Modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity".
All the lectures were heard with great interest. At the end of each session, the ophthalmologists were able to ask questions to the lecturer and get the answers to his questions on the subject of the lecture.
At the end of the conference, ophthalmologists were able to check the quality and the level of their knowledge using the proposed tests, compiled by the conference program.
We hope that education of this nature will facilitate the early introduction in clinical practice the most modern diagnostic and therapeutic technologies that will significantly increase the level of rendering of the ophthalmologic help to patients.
