"ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF OPHTHALMOLOGY"

27 Oct 2017 SBD "Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus" held a scientific-practical conference "Actual problems of ophthalmology", organized by the continuing medical education. The purpose of the educational event was the introduction of modern technologies into the clinical practice of ophthalmology to improve effectiveness of diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation measures in patients with ophthalmopathology.
The conference was attended by more than 200 ophthalmologists from Ufa and a variety of towns and regions RB.
During the conference, the experts were familiarized with the aspects of etiopathogenesis and clinical manifestations, best practices, diagnostics, approaches to treatment of eye diseases such as keratectasia, cataract and myopia.
The session on new technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal ectasias, sounded lectures CL.-korr., MD, Professor M. M. Bikbov: on the topic: "the Crosslinking of the cornea. The features of the morphological and ultrastructural changes of tissues of the eye"; Prof. V. K. Surkova -
"Ectasia of the cornea: etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis"; PhD Usubov E. L. "prospects for the application of the method of corneal crosslinking in the treatment of keratoconus"; M. B. S. G. M. Kazakbaeva - "Intrastromal ring in keratoconus treatment".
At the next meeting they heard lectures on modern trends and technologies in cataract surgery. During the master class "Complex non-standard cases in the practice of the cataract surgeon", Ph. D. M. S. Absalyamov showed videos and sharedtheir experience cataract surgery in complicated cases. Also heard lectures by Ph. D. O. I. Orenburkina on the topic: "Premium lenses in cataract surgery" and M. D. I. S. Zaidullin – on the theme: "Congenital cataract: modern trends in surgery."
The session "Modern technologies of treatment of myopia" the audience was presented the lectures: Prof. R. A. Aznabaev on the topic:
"Modern technologies of laser correction of ametropia", M. B. S., L. I. Khalimova on the topic: "correction of Orthokeratology in myopia and astigmatism" and Dr. S. M. N. Astrelina on the topic: "prospects for the use of the crosslinking of sclera in the treatment of progressive myopia."
All the lectures were heard with great interest. At the end of each session, the ophthalmologists asked questions to the lecturer, and actively participated in the discussion.
At the end of the conference, ophthalmologists were able to check the quality and the level of their knowledge using the proposed tests, compiled by the conference program.
