"TOPICAL ISSUES OF TREATMENT OF GLAUCOMA"

March 2, 2018 Ufa research Institute of eye diseases of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus held a scientific-practical conference "Topical issues of treatment of glaucoma", which was attended by more than 200 ophthalmologists from Ufa and a variety of towns and regions RB.
The conference was organized in the framework of continuous medical education. The purpose of the educational event was the introduction of modern technologies into the clinical practice of ophthalmology to improve effectiveness of diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation measures in patients with such severe pathology of the eye as glaucoma.
The scientific program of the conference consisted of two topics that were discussed topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.
With a salutatory word to participants of conference were welcomed by a member of.-Q. Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Director of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, Professor M. M. Bikbov, who also presented a lecture on the theme: "the results of the application of modern technologies of treatment of glaucoma in the Republic of Bashkortostan".
Great interest among the participants of the conference called "live surgery", which was shown antiglaucomatous surgery with implantation of drainage implants drainage I-gen. Surgical intervention was carried out by the head. II microsurgical Department of Kazakbaev R. A. Comments used by a surgeon techniques allowed students to increase their knowledge for use in their practice.
It also heard the lectures: M. D. Babushkin A. E. - "the capabilities of modern drug therapy of glaucoma"; E. M. Garipova - "Functional methods of investigation in diagnosticsglaucoma". Head of Department of organization of medical care of GAUZ "Regional ophthalmological hospital", chief. the Department of ophthalmology with a course of optometry "West-Siberian Institute of postgraduate medical education" (Tyumen), Ph. D. Malishevsky tn. presented a very interesting presentation entitled "Primary open angle glaucoma. Modern management capabilities in ambulatory practice". The participants of the conference were presented the new organizational technologies of diagnostics and prevention of glaucoma, some new data on the pathogenesis of glaucoma, comorbidity as a factor for progression of primary open angle glaucoma, new approaches to the pathogenetic treatment of the comorbid patient, based on chronobiological and vasoregulatory aspects of the pathogenesis of glaucoma.
During the meeting, "Improvement of methods of surgical treatment of glaucoma" presented the following lectures: PhD Kalentieva A. Z. – "Clinical and genetic features of glaucoma in the Republic of Bashkortostan"; PhD Orenburkina O. I. – "Outpatient management of patients after antiglaucoma operations"; PhD Chaika O. V. "Treatment of terminal glaucoma at the present stage"; Dr. zaidullin I. S. "Congenital glaucoma: diagnostic features, medical and surgical treatment."
All the lectures were heard with great interest. At the end of each session, the ophthalmologists were able to ask questions to the lecturer and get the answers to his questions on the subject of the lecture.
At the end of the conference, ophthalmologists were able to check the quality and the level of their knowledge using the proposed tests, compiled by the conference program.
In the framework of the conference an exhibition of scientific literature of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases and modern medicines.
