Working visit to the eye Department of the hospital in Legnago, Italy
20 APR 2018 head of the III microsurgical Department of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, Ph. D. Khismatullin R. R. in the group of ophthalmologists of Russia (gg Samara, Izhevsk, Orenburg, Vologda) visited the ophthalmology Department of the hospital of Legnago, the province of Verona, Italy. The head of the ophthalmology Department is one of the leading surgeons of Italy, Dr. Paolo Bordin. He is known worldwide for its ophthalmic school and the possibilities of treatment of patients with diverse pathology of the eye. Dr. R. Bordin had a tour of the clinic; familiarized with material-technical base of branch and main features of a doctor-ophthalmologist in the clinic and hospital; spoke about the level and principles of organization of ophthalmologic aid to the population in Italy. Russian ophthalmologists visited the operating Department, were present in the course of routine operations performed by colleagues from Italy.
In addition, Dr. P. Bordin gave a video presentation devoted to new technologies of surgical treatment of patients with congenital cataracts, and keratoconus. Working visit was held in a friendly atmosphere filled with professional debate and discussion of the most important problems of ophthalmology and ended with plans for further close cooperation.
