The delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases took part in the international scientific conference "Actual problems of ophthalmology", held on 28-29 April 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan
A large delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases took part in the international scientific conference "Actual problems of ophthalmology", held on 28-29 April 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan, and was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The conference was held at Pullman hotel Baku, and it was attended by about 700 ophthalmologists of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Israel, USA, Belarus. Meeting scientific sessions took place in 3 parallel halls.
At the conference opening the participants were welcomed and told about the life of Z. Aliyeva, Minister of health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Professor O. Shiraliyev, the President of the Academy of Sciences, AK. A. Alizadeh, Director of the National center of ophthalmology, Professor E. Kasimov, rector of Russian medical Academy of academician L. K. Moshetova, academician A. F. Brovkina, Chairman of the Ophthalmology society of Turkish speaking countries, Dr. S. Duman.
The scientific program of the conference included over 50 papers, with the delegation of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases and 8 reports were presented:

- Akhtyamov K. N. Vitreous surgery in the insolvency of the sclera
- Usubov E. L. Multifocal and trifocal IOL in femtolazer-assisted cataract surgery
- Shevchuk N. E. EffectUV crosslinking of the cornea on the dynamics of cytokine and antioxidant status of patients with keratoconus
- Khalimov A. R. the State of processes of free radical oxidation under standard UV crosslinking of the cornea
The Institute participated in the exhibition
presenting their developments for the treatment of keratectasia machines "Uplink" for standard crosslinking and "Uplink quantum" - for a pulse crosslinking, UV tester, the device "ION" for transepithelial saturation of the cornea with a photosensitizer, different types of photosensitizers, etc. was also presented the monograph of staff of the UF Institute of GB dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of keratectasia, AMD and conjunctivitis.
The delegation of the Institute visited the national centre of ophthalmology named. Z. Aliyeva familiarized with its equipment and organization of work on provision of eye care in Azerbaijan.
