Ufa ophthalmologists will conduct a demonstration of an operation for colleagues from East and West
The Ufa will once again become the center of world ophthalmology. June 2-3 in the Bashkir capital will host VII international conference on ophthalmosurgery "East–West–2016". His desire to come to such a huge event expressed by the leading specialists, chief physicians eye clinics, heads of departments of eye diseases, young scientists from Europe, Asia and America, only about a thousand people. It is expected the participation of delegations from Austria, great Britain, Germany, Italy, USA, Switzerland and Japan, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, the Russian cities of Moscow, Kaluga, Cheboksary, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk and other regions, said the press service of Ministry of health RB.
The conference will take place at the Bashkir state theatre of Opera and ballet. In the program — plenary sessions, educational courses, satellite symposia. The meetings will be held simultaneously in three halls with simultaneous translation into English.
This year the event will for the first time awarded the medal named after the first Director of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, Professor Victor Odintsov. She is the only one in Russia, it will be awarded to scientists for significant achievements in ophthalmology.
Another innovation of this conference, along with sessions on topical issues of ophthalmology will be held three scientific session of the foreign ophthalmological societies – Germany, India and Japan. For young scientists will be organized in interactive poster session. During videosesso movies ophthalmologists of Russia, Austria, Germany, the United States will be discussed present interesting clinical cases.

Today the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases is a large scientific and medical-diagnostic center of Russia, where highly qualified specialists, modern equipment and technology. The Institute carries out scientific medical Advisory, education and production activities. In recent years there has been a significant increase in the total number of operations in the Institute: if until 2006 there were annually held not more than 10 thousand, in 2015 their number exceeded 38 thousand.
The Institute plans and executes innovative projects, developing machines, medicines, technology, surgery eye diseases. Development of employees is protected by patents of the Russian Federation, which are introduced in ophthalmologic clinics of Russia and foreign countries.
