The delegation of the Ufa Eye Research Institute took part in the regular meeting of the Asian Ophthalmological Epidemiological Consortium, a member of which the Institute became last year.
The Consortium was held as part of the 34th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress in conjunction with the 43rd annual meeting of the Royal College of Ophthalmology of Thailand, that took place from 6 to 9 March in Bangkok.
The Consortium is an influential ophthalmological organization with a center in Singapore. Currently, the consortium includes 45 scientists from Singapore, Thailand, China, Japan, India, Australia, Germany and Russia represented by delegates from the Ufa Eye Research Institute.
During the fourth meeting, the Consortium member M. M. Bikbov reported on the progress of the epidemiological research conducted at the Institute, which aroused great interest of the audience.
