Head of the Department of vitreoretinal and laser surgery MD Faizrakhmanov R. R. in the group of heads of vitreoretinal ophthalmic units of the leading institutions of the Russian Federation was invited to Rome (Italy) to exchange experience with foreign colleagues.
Short-term courses were organized by the company Optikon for demonstrations of new equipment intended for surgical treatment of the posterior eye segment. The doctor visited the leading eye care centers Rome - clinic Hospital S. Giovanni Britannico and Hospital Ophtalmico. 
As a demonstration of the equipment are the car R-Evolution. The main feature of vitreoretinal machines are using different spectrum lighting to visualize the internal limiting membrane, the simultaneous use of the functions of the irrigation flow and the extrusion of plugging material into the vitreous cavity.
Was presented the production of new equipment, are given the opportunity to test and stage-by-stage development technologies from idea to the final result. In Russia the new equipment will appear at the end of 2013
Discussion of the problems of vitreoretinal surgery showed that the dataissues, in particular macular surgery in our Institute decided on the advanced level.
