Citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to free examination and treatment in Ufa Eye Research Institute at the expense of compulsory medical insurance fund.

The list of required documents for examination and treatment of citizens of the Russian Federation:

• Passport.
• A valid  medical insurance
• A referral from a local ophthalmologist

Medical assistance to foreign citizens (with the exception of an emergency, including emergency specialized medical assistance) is in accordance with the agreements on provision of paid medical services or contracts of voluntary medical insurance and (or) of prisoners in favor of foreign citizens, treaties in the sphere of compulsory medical insurance.

Pay: Monday – Friday 8.30 - 19.00, days off — Saturday, Sunday.

Before surgery refractive need to pass a diagnostic examination that allows the doctor to compile a complete picture of the state of Your visual system. Also you should get tested: a blood test for Rw, HIV, HBs-Ag, Anti-HCV.

Despite all the positivity, efficiency and safety, laser correction is a medical procedure and therefore requires a prescription, has some contraindications:

General:

• autoimmune diseases (collagen,arthritis);
• primary and secondary immunodeficiency States;
• systemic diseases affecting the healing process;
• a severe form of diabetes.

Side of body:

• one eye;
• corneal thickness less than 450 (440) m;
• glaucoma;
• keratoconus with corneal thinning;
• progressive myopia;
• cataract, regardless of the stage of development;
• operated retinal detachment;
• inflammatory diseases of the organ of vision.

• the age of 18 (this is due to the need to complete the formation of the eyeball);
• pregnancy and the entire lactation period ( until the restoration of hormone levels).

With Femto-LASIK creation of the flap is performed by femtosecond laser – a special ophthalmic instrument. Dissection of the corneal surface boundaries of matter is carried out with a jeweler's precision. The absence of mechanical impact enhances the security of laser vision correction significantly reduces the risk of acquired corneal astigmatism. In the postoperative period, the patient needs the least time to return to normal mode of life. In addition, the patient can visualize objects in all weather conditions – be it rain, fog, night.

Usually the procedure for strengthening the retina is held 1 month prior to laser correction. Study on laser strengthening of the retina can prevent its detachment and the patient to maintain good vision. The main purpose of peripheral laser photocoagulation is prevention – reducing the risk of complications and not improve vision.
