Innovative project of the Institute reached the final of the competition

Startup Village - 2015

2-3 June 2015 in the innovation center “SKOLKOVO” (Moscow) hosted the conference Startup Village. The main purpose of the event – connect startup founders with successful entrepreneursand major Industrialists, investors, government officials, business angels and experts not only from Russia but also from around the world.

For two days the participants of Startup Village were more than 10 000 people – representatives of startups from Russia, CIS and other countries, including more than 700 investors, venture funds and development institutions, authorities and the media. On 11 platforms were more than 120 of panel discussions, roundtables, mentoring sessions and master classes. The competition of attractive investment projects was attended by 350 teams. Startup Village has become the logical completion of the Startup Tour – the road show of Russian development institutions, which was held this year in 12 cities, including Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Startup Village was visited by the Chairman of the RF Government D. A. Medvedev.

Young scientists of the Ufa research Institute of eye diseases, taking 1st and 2nd places in the regional stage with their innovative projects, took part in the work of the Russian stage. In the track "BIOMEDICINE" was presented 2 of the project.

Project researcher of the Department of surgery of the cornea and lens, mn. Astrelina "Device for the crosslinking of the sclera" (M. N. Astrelin, T. I. Bikkuzin, S. V. Kharitonov) participated in the semi-finals of the track "BIOMED" in the section "Breakthrough technologies in health care".

Junior researcher at the Department vitreoretinaleand laser surgery, M. R., sea Otters submitted from a group of authors (S. R. Uzbekov, S. V. Kharitonov, M. R. sea Otters) project "DCRYSTAL" -drainage for lacrimalis surgery". This project won the semi-final of the track "BIOMED" in the section "infectious diseases" and became one of the 29 finalists of Startup Village-2015.

Fund "SKOLKOVO" presented to M. R. Kalanova, and all finalists grant in the amount of 300 000 rubles, as well as invitations to visit the IV Moscow international forum for innovative development "Open innovations 2015", which will be held in Moscow from 28 October to 01 November this year on the territory of the Exhibition complex ENEA.
